Nicola Bruzzo studied with Felice Cusano, Friedemann Eichhorn and Natalia Prischepenko, deeply influenced by great masters such as Thomas Brandis and Rainer Kussmaul. Active both as an orchestral player, performing all over the world in the most important concert halls, and as a chamber musician, he has appeared alongside Enrico Pace, Boris Brovtsyn, Natalia Prischepenko, Gabriele Carcano, Alexandra Conunova, Alexey Stadler, Stephen Waarts, Matan Porat, Georgy Kovalev, Nurit Stark, and Ella van Poucke. At a young age Nicola joined the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, he then collaborated as Associate Member with Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and later with Chamber Orchestra of Europe and some of the most important European ensembles. He recorded for Sony, Decca, Pentatone, Harmonia Mundi and Alpha Classics. Since 2019 he is member of the Board of Directors in Ferrara Musica and afterwards starts working jointly with Prof. Enzo Restagno at the artistic direction of the concert season. Since May 2024 he has been Artistic Director of the Paganini Competition in Genoa.
