The language centre at the Bauhaus University Weimar also gives students of the LISZT University the chance to learn a range of new languages, or to refresh and perfect any language skills they may already have. International students can also attend German as a foreign language courses – there is even a course especially designed for music students.

All languages are offered as supplementary courses during term time, and are normally about two to three hours per week. There are also three-week intensive classes for German as a foreign language each March and September.

Students at the Departments of Vocal Studies | Theatre and Conducting and Opera Coaching who are required to learn Italian may attend the courses offered by the language centre.
