The Language Centre of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar offers students and staff of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar the opportunity to learn new languages or to refresh and improve existing language skills. In addition, foreign students can take courses in German as a foreign language, especially for music terminology.

All languages are offered as study-related language courses during the lecture period, with a workload of 2 to 3 semester hours per week. In addition, three-week intensive courses in German as a foreign language are offered in March and September.

Students at the Department of Vocal Studies and Theatre and the Department of Conducting and Opera Répétiteur Studies who are required to learn Italian can take advantage of the Italian courses offered by the Language Centre.
