Our shelves contain around 150,000 books, sheet music, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and magazines from all areas of music (e.g. classical, popular music and jazz) and cultural management. We also have a large stock of digital resources such as databases, e-journals and e-books.
The library is open to the public. The holdings are available to anyone interested in researching, learning or reading. Borrowing is only possible for members of the HfM as well as members and affiliates of another Thuringian university after prior registration.
New semester opening hours in the musicology branch library from 22.04.2025
From 22.04.2025 we will test new opening hours:

The opening hours of the main library remain unchanged:
