How to get there by car
If you are travelling on the A4 motorway, take the Weimar exit if you are coming from Dresden or Frankfurt am Main and follow the signs for Weimar-Zentrum. After the sign for the Goethe House, turn right and follow the road along Ackerwand. After a long left-hand bend, you will see the Fürstenhaus on the left-hand side of Platz der Demokratie, next to the historic Duchess Anna Amalia Library, opposite the Stadtschloss, which is further down the valley. You can park (for a fee) in the underground car park at Beethovenplatz (341 spaces), about a five-minute walk from the Fürstenhaus, or opposite the Fürstenhaus in the direction of the Stadtschloss
Arrival by train and bus
From Weimar main station, take bus lines 1, 2, 5, 6 or 8 from the bus stop directly opposite the station to Wielandplatz. From there, walk across Frauenplan to the market square. The Platz der Demokratie, with the Fürstenhaus, the main building of the Music university, is located in the immediate vicinity of the market square. How to get there by car
If you are travelling on the A4 motorway, take the Weimar exit if you are coming from Dresden or Frankfurt am Main and follow the signs for Weimar-Zentrum. At Goetheplatz, turn into Geleitstraße and follow Geleitstraße as it turns right until you reach Am Palais. Please note that you cannot park here. You can find parking spaces (for a fee) in the underground car park at Beethovenplatz (341 spaces), about ten minutes' walk from the Am Palais university building. Another car park is located on Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße, which can be reached via Coudraystraße. From here, it is also a ten-minute walk to the Am Palais building.
Arrival by train and bus
From Weimar main station, take bus lines 1, 2, 5, 6 or 8 from the bus stop directly opposite the station to Goetheplatz. From there, walk to Geleitstraße, which is opposite, and follow it in a right-hand curve to the alleyway Am Palais. You can find the bus timetables for the individual lines here.

How to get there by car
The studio theatre of the University of Music is located about four kilometres outside the city centre in the beautiful Belvedere Palace Park. If you are travelling on the A4 motorway, take the Weimar exit if you are coming from Dresden or Frankfurt am Main and then follow the signs for Weimar-Zentrum. At the Belvederer Allee junction, follow the signs for Jena, turning right onto Belvederer Allee and continuing straight ahead for about four kilometres. Then follow the signs to the car park. From there, you can walk past the Music High School to Belvedere Palace, which is flanked by the studio theatre, housed in the so-called Wagnerhaus, downhill to the left below the Bach and Beethoven House. Parking is available at the Belvedere Palace Park (subject to a fee at the weekend).
Getting there by train and bus
From Weimar main station, take bus number 1 from the bus stop directly opposite the station to the Belvedere stop. From there, walk past the Music High School to Schloss Belvedere, which is flanked by the studio theatre, housed in the so-called Wagnerhaus, downhill to the left below the Bach and Beethoven houses. Arrival by train and bus
From Weimar main station, take bus lines 1, 2, 5, 6 or 8 from the bus stop directly opposite the station to Goetheplatz. From there, cross the road and take bus lines 2 or 9 to the Hellerweg stop. Now follow Jenaer Straße out of town and then turn into Marlene-Dietrich-Straße. Cross Leibnizallee and continue straight ahead up to Carl-Alexander-Platz.
