General Social Counselling and Psycho-social Counselling of the Studierendenwerk Thüringen

The Studierendenwerk offers General Social Counselling (ASB) to help you with orientation and decision-making as well as information on complex social issues: studying with a child, financing your studies, accident insurance, hardship loans.

Psycho-social Counselling (PSB) is available to all students at universities in Thuringia who feel the need to talk to a person who is neutral about themselves, their situation, and their problems, and to receive further support. Those seeking advice can contact the advisors both with study-related problems and in personal conflict situations. Currently, worries about the future, loneliness, and the feeling of stress and pressure can be the biggest challenges. The Studierendenwerk currently offers counselling on these and other topics by telephone, video chat, or with online writing-based counselling.

Counselling sessions are offered in English and are free of charge.

You can make an appointment for a consultation with our advisors by e-mail or by telephone during registration hours.

The writing-based psycho-social online counselling offers you the possibility to send your questions anonymously and securely. Please note that not all advisors can be contacted there as contact persons.

The counselling sessions always take place with a consultant at individually arranged appointments.
Should you have further questions about your studies, please do not hesitate to contact the staff of INFOtake Weimar.
