The Equal Opportunities Officer and her deputy promote and monitor the realisation of equal opportunities for men and women at the university. Both are elected by the Senate for a term of three years on the recommendation of the Advisory Board for Gender Equality.

The Diversity Officer and her deputy are committed to ensuring that all people can participate equally in university life - regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, origin, religion, ideology, disability, chronic or mental illness. They are elected by the Senate for a period of three years on the recommendation of the Advisory Board for Equal Opportunities and the Representative Body for Severely Disabled Persons.

The Advisory Board for Equal Opportunities supports the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Officers in their tasks. It is made up of representatives from all status groups at the university (teaching staff, students and technical and administrative staff).
