Studying EMP/ Eurhythmics
The acquisition of artistic, music pedagogic, and administrative skills prepares students in this programme for a professional career working with groups of all ages. Students engage with music and movement as forms of expression and enhance their ability to move between movement, voice, and instrument. They develop an improvisatory, transcultural approach which affords space for music and movement of different styles, genres, cultures, and historical periods.
These skills allow students to lead groups of parents with children, pre-school children (Musikalische Früherziehung), primary school children (Musikalische Grundausbildung), adolescents, adults, and elderly people. Further areas of practice are instrumental ensembles, informal percussion, rhythm, and singing groups, as well as projects with target audiences of various age groups involving music and movement. In addition to music and art institutions, dance and theatre schools, academies and colleges for educators and social workers, secondary schools, orchestras with educational programmes, conservatoires, music academies, and universities offer further opportunities of employment for graduates of this programme.
