Aquiles Delle Vigne, Belgium

The Weimar Musikhochschule has tied this piano virtuoso living in Brussels close to themselves. The internationally active artist and educator Aquiles Delle Vigne comes to Weimar twice a semester to teach at the Institute of Piano and Accordion. Aquiles Delle Vigne is one of the most famous students of the legendary Claudio Arrau, who taught him as a 17-year-old.  Aquiles Delle Vigne has enjoyed an exceptional career and to this day tirelessly crosses all continents. He is particularly interested in Franz Liszt, whose Transcendental Études he has recorded, and Ludwig van Beethoven – in particular his sonatas. Similarly, Astor Piazzolla also belongs to this Argentinean native’s wide-ranging repertoire. As a piano educator, Aquiles Delle Vigne has appeared at masterclasses in Salzburg, New York, Moscow, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo and Sydney. He has served as a visiting professor at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and as an associate professor at the National University in Taipei.
