Lilya Zilberstein

After her debut in 1991 with the Berlin Philharmonic, Lilya Zilberstein has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras, the Orchestra of La Scala Milan and the Staatskapelle Dresden. Besides Claudio Abbado, she has worked with conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Christoph Eschenbach, Dmitrij Kitajenko, James Levine and Michael Tilson Thomas. Lilya Zilberstein celebrated her first international success in 1987 when she won the Busoni Competition in Bolzano. She has recorded a total of eight CDs for Deutsche Grammophon. With her duo partner Martha Argerich she celebrated her twentieth stage anniversary in 2019. For four years the pianist was a guest professor at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg before Lilya Zilberstein was appointed professor at the renowned University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna in 2015.
