Michael Davidov

Where the Germans normally spend their holidays on the beach, Michael Davidov has anchored high culture: In the south Spanish city of Marbella this Spanish-Israeli pianist has established the Marbella International Music Festival. Part of the festival are the Marbella International Music Competition, an International Masterclass Series and the Marbella Concert Circle. Davidov received his pianistic education in Barcelona, Moscow, Salzburg – and even at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar. He has won a variety of prizes at international piano competitions such as in Jaén, Madrid, Rome, Gorizia, Bratislava, Barcelona und Thessaloniki. Solo recitals and orchestral concerts have led him to stages across Europe, China and Israel. He has taught at universities and conservatories in Augsburg, Weimar and currently is teaching at the Conservatorio Superior del Liceo in Barcelona. He is a frequent guest at master classes and appears as a judge at international piano competitions.
