Cornelius Mack studied school music with piano as his main subject at the Freiburg University of Music from 2005 to 2011 with Christoph Sischka, Ralf Schmid and Helmut Lörscher, among others. During this time, he completed a nine-month study abroad programme in jazz piano as a scholarship holder of the Baden-Württemberg Foundation at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, USA.

There he received lessons from Harold Danko, Bill Dobbins and Dariusz Terefenko. Cornelius Mack then continued his studies in jazz piano at the Mannheim University of Music, where he studied with Jörg Reiter and Rainer Böhm. He completed his traineeship at the Gymnasium Schenefeld, where he subsequently worked as a music teacher. 

Cornelius Mack worked as a lecturer for practical piano playing at the Musikhochschule Mainz, at the Institute for Music and its Education at the TU Braunschweig and at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. In addition, he gives workshops on band playing, practical piano playing in schools, songwriting and arranging. 

As a member of the a cappella ensemble UNDUZO, in which he is active as a singer, composer and arranger, he has received numerous awards and has been involved in various CD and video productions as well as commercial recordings. Cornelius Mack has performed in various roles - as pianist, keyboardist, singer, composer and arranger - with band and musical projects throughout Europe.
