Jena Philharmonic Orchestra
Markus L. Frank, Conductor
Orchestra Studio
Participants who have also registered for the Orchestra Studio when registering for the master class and are selected by the respective Guest Professor during the course, will be given the opportunity to rehearse one concerto from their repertoire as a soloist with orchestra (ca. 20 minutes).
The best participants will perform in the Final Concert of the Weimar Master Classes on 29 July 2023.
The Orchestra: The Weimar Master Classes provide an exceptional opportunity through their orchestra studio for a selection of its very best participants to further tweak their solo skills. For almost 50 years now the Jenaer Philharmonie has been a truly reliable partner for this. The orchestra from the neighboring town of Jena was founded in 1934 and has toured all over the world, from Europe to China. Time and again, the Jenaer Philharmonie has been honored by German music publishers for its innovative concert programming. The Jenaer Philharmonie also accompanies concerts of particularly outstanding students and graduates and operatic concerts of the Liszt University on a regular basis.
