Applications for the 2026/27 winter semester are now being accepted
The University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar is accepting applications for the 2026/27 winter semester. With a few exceptions, applications are being accepted for all degree programs. The campus portal (https://his-1.hfm-weimar.de/) is open until March 16 for artistic degree programs (B.Mus., M.Mus., Diplom, Konzertexamen) as well as for degree programs for teaching at high schools (Staatsexamen; B.Ed.; M.Ed.).
No applications are possible for the following subjects: harp (all degree programs) and all instruments in the field of early music (B.Mus. and M.Mus., with the exception of the concert exam). In addition, no concert exam candidates will be accepted in the field of orchestral conducting in the winter semester.
The application deadline for musicology (B.A. and M.A.), intercultural music and event management (B.A. supplementary subject), and Arts Management (M.A.) is June 30. Exceptions to this are Music Practice (B.A. supplementary subject, M.A. profile) and Music Theory (M.A. profile), for which the application deadline is March 16.
