He calls himself a "musical all-rounder". He was lucky enough to be able to utilise his diverse interests on a very high standard. The artist himself, born in Erlangen in 1977, explains: "I have followed many new paths that seemingly have nothing to do with each other at first glance". Initially, he completed his training as a nurse, then studied classical guitar for a music education degree, and finally studied voice, music education and arrangement in Leipzig from 2000 until 2007.

Until 2014, Juan M.V. Garcia performed around the world with the vocal quartet "Klangbezirk" and worked as a composer, arranger and stage director at numerous German theatres. He also worked as a free-lance teacher, moderator and music producer and internationally as a vocal coach and guest lecturer between Taipei, Shanghai and Berlin. Since 2010 he has published a number of vocal arrangements with various publishers. Beginning in 2011 he has had teaching engagements for jazz and popular choir conducting as well as jazz voice at the Leipzig Music Conservatory, and beginning in 2014 at the School of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar. Since 2015 Juan Garcia has been a vocal coach at the BundesJugendJazzOrchester (National Youth Jazz Orchestra). During the past ten years he has won many 1st prizes at international a-cappella competitions as well as at the composition competition "move and chant".
