Historic prospects

Matthias Dreißig has been teaching in Weimar as an Honorary Professor for almost 25 years

He is a pillar of the Church Music programme at the Weimar University of Music: Director of Church Music Professor Matthias Dreißig has been teaching in the Klostergebäude Am Palais since 1995, initially as a lecturer and, since 2005, as an Honorary Professor. The 61-year-old’s main professional activity is working as an organist at the Predigerkirche in Erfurt, which he has been doing for 25 years.
