International cooperations

Since 1998, the Department of Jazz has been a member of the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ). This association is comprised of more than 80 elite jazz departments from over 40 countries. Participation in annual international jazz meetings with teachers and students, in various centres, including in Cologne 1998, Paris 2000, Helsinki 2002, Sienna 2007 and Riga 2008.

There are active co-operations with the following universities of music, also within the framework of the EU’s ERASMUS education programme:
