International Tutors
The International Tutors are student employees of the International Office.
They assist international and Erasmus students with the following matters:
• with questions and problems before and during their stay abroad
• they provide useful tips for finding your way around campus and in Weimar
• They assist with completing formalities and dealing with government agencies
• Support in improving German language skills
• An introduction to student life on campus in Weimar, etc.
You can find the most important information in the International Student Handbook; if you have any further questions, you can contact our current International Student Tutors at any time.
In addition, the International Tutors organize approximately 3–5 events per semester for international students, which may include excursions, day trips, or other cultural activities designed to help students get to know one another and exchange ideas.

Buddy Program
The Liszt Buddy Program supports first-semester students (both international and German) as they settle into life in Weimar and adapt to daily life as students at the University of Music. Experienced students serve as mentors to new students during their first semester, answering questions about their studies, the university, and daily life. International students in particular benefit from cultural exchange, practical support, and new connections. As a Liszt Buddy, you’ll share your experiences and support new classmates with openness, reliability, and helpful tips.
