The course leads to a qualification as a full-time certified church musician (Protestant or Catholic).
The programme serves to acquire artistic, theological and community-related knowledge and skills for the profession of cantor and organist. To this end, students learn how to work with choir and instrumental ensembles as well as with children. They also develop a concept-oriented understanding of music, an awareness of form and a sense of style. At the same time, they learn to play different styles and to improvise artistically.
