Applications for the Germany Scholarship are open until 5 September
The application deadline has been extended until 5 September 2025: Current and prospective students at the Weimar Music University can now apply for a Germany Scholarship. Students who are enrolled in a first undergraduate degree programme (Bachelor's, Diploma, State Examination) or in a first Master's degree programme within the standard period of study at the university are eligible.
The application must be submitted before the last standard year of study. Those who already receive other talent- or performance-based funding exceeding 30 euros per month are not eligible. The award is independent of income and is not counted towards BAföG funding. Scholarship holders will receive 300 euros per month between October 2025 and September 2026.
In the 2024/25 academic year, which is coming to an end, a total of 37 Germany Scholarships were awarded at the university thanks to the active support of foundations, companies and private sponsors. The scholarships, which are financed in equal parts by private donors and the federal government, are awarded for proven outstanding artistic, educational or scientific achievements before or during studies, or for special achievements. Social commitment and special personal and family circumstances are also taken into account in the selection process.
