Artistic studies as a major subject with a specialization (artistic or instrumental pedagogy) from the 5th semester onwards

Prerequisite:

General university entrance qualification (Abitur), passed aptitude test, proof of language level B2 (for foreign applicants) - deviating requirements are described in the special requirements for the aptitude test.

Stage 1: Selection based on audio-visual recordings

Stage 2: Practical examination in the main artistic subject and in the minor subject of jazz piano, as well as written examinations in music theory and aural training

Study information:

A consecutive Master’s programme comprising 120 ECTS credits, which broadens and deepens students’ individual skills, qualifying them for a career as a professional musician with a wide range of opportunities in a broad and diverse professional field (in the areas of artistic practice, education or artistic research), whether working on a freelance basis or in a salaried role, Study can commence in either the winter or summer semester

4 Semester

Content:

Artistic studies with a major in Creative Music Project, supplemented where applicable by compulsory modules related to the major in a core area, with the option to set an individual focus by selecting appropriate compulsory-elective modules in the specialisation area
