The team of the Vice President for Digitalization and Internationalization, in particular the International Office, is responsible for the conception of internationalization measures in close cooperation and coordination with the Internationalization Working Group. The working group was established at the beginning of 2022 as part of the HSP project "HOCHSCHULE INTERNATIONALER".

The working group is open to all interested university members at all times as a platform for cross-departmental exchange. This strengthens cooperation between university and non-university stakeholders. Internally, the departments, the Student Council and administrative departments (Department of Academic and Student Affairs, International Office, Teaching and Quality Development, Marketing, Press) should be mentioned. Externally, cooperation with the city of Weimar, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen and the University's practice partner institutions in the region and beyond will be expanded and strengthened. 

The International Office will be established as a central competence center that advises university members on international activities and projects and serves as the first point of contact for outsiders with questions about internationalization at the Weimar University of Music.
