Do you hear that? Uh, no...

New episode of the podcast "Liszten" with master piano builder Dirk Höhne

It's starting again! The podcast of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar is back. This time our host Christofer Hameister talks to Dirk Höhne. Höhne is a master piano builder and works as a piano tuner at the university.

Actually he wanted to become a cook, or at least a carpenter. He does something with wood now anyway, says Höhne. He has not become bored with the profession even after many years. In this episode, we find out what role lost rings, rattling pens and lace wings play in his everyday life. It's not just about music, but also a bit about soccer.

In the 150th anniversary year of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar, the new podcast "Liszten" was launched. We don't look back at our history, but talk to the people who shape the HfM today.

Who teaches, studies and works here? How did they find their way to music and to the university? And what drives them apart from music? Every month, different people from the fields of study, teaching and administration have their say - unfiltered and honest.

Presenter Christofer Hameister studied school music at the University of Music in Weimar and completed his journalistic traineeship at Antenne Thüringen in Weimar. Since 2019, he has been presenting various radio and television programs for Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb).
