- 1995, programme of further studies in cello with Prof. Marcio Cameiro and Tilmann Wick at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold
- 1999–2003, studies of conducting with Prof. Nicolas Pasquet at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
- immediately followed by an engagement as principal repetiteur and deputy choir master at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, until 2006
- August 2006, second place at the international opera conducting competition 'Luigi Mancinelli' at Orvieto (Italy)
- broad knowledge of regional differences in historical performance practices, as well as an expertise in conducting premiere performance of contemporary works and film music
- successful premiere performances of two children's operas, premiere performance of the chamber orchestra arrangement of Metropolis (Fritz Lang), direction of the innovative chamber orchestra 'Ensemble Iberoamericano' ('a fascinating cosmopolitan project'—Klassik)
- has conducted concerts with the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Jenaer Philharmonie, and has undertaken concert tours to Mariánské Lázně (Czech Republic) and Pécs (Hungary)
- Europe-wide concerts as a pianist, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Hungary
- renowned as a member of numerous chamber music ensembles and as accompanist (piano) of acclaimed singers
- direction of H. W. Henze's opera 'Pollicino' at the DNT Weimar
- since 2009, direction of the orchestra at the centre for highly talented children at the Musikgymnasium Schloss Belvedere
