Anna Cuchal (née Jakubcová, 1989 in Prague) studied first at the Academy of Performing Arts Prague, later at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar in the class of Prof. Wally Hase, in 2014-16 in the Master's programme with Prof. Christina Fassbender (in the winter semester 2014/15 at the University of Music Münster) as a scholarship holder of the Czech Ministry of Culture at the University of Music Würzburg. She has won prizes at national and international competitions (including 1st prize at the 60th University Competition).

She has gained orchestral experience with the Mitteldeutsches Kammerorchester, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Bach-Collegium Stuttgart and others. In the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons she was deputy principal flutist, and in 2017-19 coordinated principal flutist of the Staatskapelle Weimar. Since September 2019 she is principal flutist of the Philharmonic Orchestra Erfurt (Theater Erfurt) and teaches at the Music High School Schloss Belvedere, Centre for the Highly Gifted of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar. She is a guest lecturer at the Rheinsberg Music Academy.

In the "Duo Bohemico", which won prizes at international competitions (XII Concorso Europeo di Chitarra Classica "Enrico Mercatali" in Gorizia/Italy), she discovers and presents mainly Czech works for flute and guitar with her husband Pavel Cuchal (guitar). They were finalists of the Fanny Mendelssohn-Förderpreis 2015 and have been invited to collaborate with the German-Czech Society, WDR 3, Czech Radio and the Auslandsgesellschaft NRW. In February 2017, they released their debut CD Czech Music for Flute and Guitar, and in February 2022, they successfully completed the concert exam chamber music course at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar with Prof. Thomas Müller-Pering.
