In the fourth episode of LISZTEN, host Christofer Hameister talks to Cora Irsen. The pianist and ECHO KLASSIK prize winner from the Rhineland studied in Weimar herself and now works at the university.
Long nights at the e-werk, ice cream on the theatre square and a beer in the evening sun on the steps of the Herderkirche - none of this existed for Cora Irsen during her student days. Instead of letting the Weimar sun shine on her face, she spent hour after hour at the piano. Like all pianists who want to become something, she says today. Presenter Christofer Hameister studied school music at the University of Music in Weimar and completed his journalistic traineeship at Antenne Thüringen in Weimar. Since 2019, he has been presenting various radio and television programmes for Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb).
