Melodious family
Weimar Children's University listens to string instruments in its second semester lecture
Weimar Children's University invites you to the second afternoon lecture of the winter semester. It will take place on Wednesday, November 12, at 4:00 p.m. in the Saal Am Palais at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar. This time, the topic is: “A melodious family – string instruments.”
Violin teacher Olaf Adler from the University of Music will address the following questions, among others: Who belongs to the family and who does not? Which is the fastest, loudest, and most beautiful? Is it difficult to learn a string instrument?
Regarding his motivation for giving a lecture at the Weimar Children's University, Olaf Adler says: “I find it fascinating how music works and how instruments work. I would like to share my discoveries on this topic with young people. I would like to ‘infect’ them with this fascination.”
A few spots are still available for the free lectures for children aged 8 and up who have not yet registered.
The Weimar Children's University is organized by a sponsoring group. This includes the FRANZ LISZT University of Music Weimar, the Bauhaus University Weimar, the Youth, Culture and Education Center Volkshochschule / mon ami, the German National Theater Weimar, the Weimar Children's Office, and the Weimar City Administration.
The patron of the Weimar Children's University is astrophysicist and science journalist Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch.
