The lyric soprano Silke Evers-Osthoff has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg since 2003, where she has excelled in a variety of roles such as Mozart's Donna Anna, Fiordiligi or Ilia, but also Michaela (Carmen), Tatjana (Eugene Onegin) or Hanna Glawari (Merry Widow) as well as leading roles in world premieres. In the meantime, she has made guest appearances at various opera houses such as Bonn, Münster, Meiningen, Kassel, Augsburg and Chemnitz.

She has also sung at the Salzburg Festival and several times with great success at the Berlin State Opera. She has been honoured with many awards and can be heard in major concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Cologne Philharmonie and the Tonhalle Zurich.

Silke Evers-Osthoff is not only in demand as a stylistically confident interpreter of baroque music, but also in the field of new and contemporary music. She has performed with renowned ensembles and conductors such as Ingo Metzmacher, Roberto Spano and Peter Hirsch, the Ensemble Modern and the SWR Experimentalstudio Freiburg.

Her unusual song programmes, which she performs in moderated recitals and CD recordings, such as on the CD with Mignon settings "Sehnsucht nach Italien" (Longing for Italy), also attract a great deal of attention. In addition to her stage career, Silke Evers-Osthoff has many years of teaching experience at the music academies in Mainz and Würzburg as well as at international masterclasses in Cape Town and Siena, among other places.
