- Ricardo Jesus Gallén Garcia was born in Linares, Spain in 1972
- He had his first guitar lesson at the age of four, and only one year later he gave his first public concerts in his hometown of Linares
- Gallén Garcia studied music at the conservatoires in Cordoba, Granada and Madrid
- In addition to performing a number of solo recitals, he has appeared as a soloist with many of the leading orchestras of Europe, Russia, Argentina, Chile and the USA
- He has been both a teacher and soloist at many renowned international guitar festivals, and has presented master classes on the guitar throughout Europe
- Mr Gallén Garcia has produced five CD recordings for the NAXOS label
- He has won a number of prizes in more than 20 international competitions, which include five 1st prizes, and an array of special awards at the most renowned international guitar competitions
- Gallén Garcia was professor of guitar at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg, as well as at the University of Extremadura in Cáceres, Spanien
- Since 2009 he is the Professor of guitar at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar succeeding Prof. Monika Rost
