  • 1978–1982: Degree at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar, majoring in the subject of Guitar under Monika Rost and Roland Zimmer, degree: diploma, result: very good
  • 1982–1984: Postgraduate degree (back then, evening classes and distance learning) under Roland Zimmer
  • 1982–1991: Guitar teacher at the music schools of Leinefelde and Jena
  • 1982–1986: Lectureship in School Music, Guitar and School-Based Guitar-Playing, at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
  • Founded and led the ‘Gioite Tutti Consort’ (ensemble for Renaissance music), involvement with performance practice, playing the lute and the basso continuo; concerts, trips, radio recordings
  • Lute player in the Handel Festival Orchestra Halle, guitarist at the Städtische Bühnen Erfurt (Municipal Stages Erfurt)

  • 1995 to present: Leadership of the ‘Capell und Cammermusik’ ensemble in Weimar (students, graduates and teachers from the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar), annual projects, concerts, recordings for the MDR, collaboration with the Weimar Art Festival1995/9
  • 7: Leadership of seminars for early music (NRW Regional Academy, UoM Weimar) and baroque guitar, ornamentation, articulation, interpretation of early dances using traditional choreography
  • 1997 to present: Music therapist at the Sophien und Hufeland Klinikum Weimar, working with children and young people with behavioural problems
  • 1998 to present: Leadership of seminars for teachers, departments of education (song accompaniment, basso continuo, perception training with music)
  • 1994–1998: Courses in ensemble playing at the Music Gymnasium ‘Schloss Belvedere’

  • Directed the performance of ‘Fratres’ by Arvo Pärt for guitar, strings and percussion, as part of the 8th Guitar Night Tiefurt; directed the rehearsals and the concert with the Dresden Guitar Ensemble during the autumn course held by the Weimar Guitar Association
  • 2009/10: Artistic direction of the performance of ‘Erwin und Elmire’ by Anna Amalia as part of the Sommertheater Tiefurt, university concert to mark the occasion of Leo Brouwer’s 70th birthday
