Pia Scheibe studied modern flute at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar with Prof Ulf-Dieter Schaaff and transverse flute at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main with Prof Karl Kaiser. As a passionate orchestral musician, she has been a solo piccoloist in the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra since 2015. However, chamber music work and playing in a chamber orchestra are just as important to her. She focusses on all instruments from the modern flute and piccolo to the classical keyed flute, the classical piccolo and the baroque transverse flute.

In early music, she performs both as a chamber musician and as a soloist with her ensemble "Capella Jenensis" in Thuringia and as a guest musician with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Several CD recordings attest to these activities, such as the CD "Tormenti d'amore" by Philipp Mathmann and Capella Jenensis (2020), Beethoven's 9th Symphony (2020) and Beethoven's 7th Symphony and "Die Geschöpfe des Prometheus" (2021) with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Since 2019 she has been a lecturer for transverse flute at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar.
