- From 1983 until March 2000 member of the string quartet "Petersen-Quartett"
- Performances in most of the world concert venues
- Production of many CDs, some of which were premieres
- In 2000 foundation of the APERTO PIANO QUARTETT with his former quartet collegue Hans-Jakob Eschenburg
- Regular performances as a soloist and chamber musician with fellow well-known musicians including Steven Bishop, Paul Meyer, and Martin Lovett
- In November 2001 performance under the baton of Daniel Barenboim for the Furtwängler-Days in Jena
- Organization of different projects with the European Union Chamber Orchestra
- As manager and soloist of this ensemble concert tours in Germany, countries in Middle and South America as well as England
- Training of next generation musicians in Berlin and Weimar
- Since 2004 Honorary Professor at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
