Travel grant from the Thuringian Competence Network for Gender Equality (TKG)

Female students at Thuringian universities can apply for travel grants to attend conferences, summer schools and similar events using TKG funds. Support is provided in the form of a one-off grant of up to 250 euros per student. Travel and accommodation costs as well as participation and conference fees are subsidised.

Scholarships for women for scientific or artistic qualification

The scholarship supports young female academics and artists after completing their doctorate or concert exam in order to facilitate their entry into an academic or artistic professorship. Funding is provided for a specific project that is to be researched during the funding period or that is to be realised in an artistic and educational capacity. The scholarship holders are supported by mentors.

The scholarship holders teach in their own courses and take part in qualification programmes offered by the university. The programme is initially limited until December 2025 and is not currently being re-tendered.

Rowena Morse Mentoring Programme for young female scientists and young female artists

The interdisciplinary programme supports female doctoral students in the final phase of their doctorate and postdocs in planning their career path. During the 12-month programme, the mentees network with each other, receive further training in workshops and are individually advised by experienced professors from Thuringian universities in group mentoring sessions.

prize for theses with a gender and diversity perspective

In order to make the variety of gender and diversity topics at Thuringian universities visible and to promote young academics, the Thuringian Competence Network for Gender Equality is organising the "Diversity meets Science" prize, endowed with 2,000 euros, for theses with a gender and diversity perspective.
