There are various sources of funding available to students of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar.

Gesellschaft der Freunde und Förderer e.V.

The LISZT University's registered society of friends and benefactors awards scholarships to students in need, and to students of exceptional talent.
 

Neue Liszt Stiftung / The Liszt Foundation

The LISZT FOUNDATION offers financial support for the artistic projects of young musicians in need. The purchase of instruments, repairs and maintenance are not supported.

Charlotte Krupp-scholarship

The Charlotte Krupp-scholarship is awarded on the basis of exceptional artistic merit to students in financial need.

The University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar awards 'Deutschlandstipendien' in support of talented students who promise exceptional careers or study results, and may have already done so.

Scholarships at the Thuringian Opera studio

Each season (two terms), the Thuringian Opera studio gives five or six scholars the opportunity to gain experience on the professional opera stage, supported by tutoring at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar.

YEHUDI MENUHIN Live Music Now Weimar e.V.

YEHUDI MENUHIN Live Music Now Weimar arranges concerts in schools, hospitals, sheltered workshops or prisons. Scholars receive a fee for their performance.

The DAAD Prize is awarded to foreign students on the basis of exceptional artistic merit and intercultural engagement.

Maria Pawlowna-scholarship

The scholarship annually enables one student of the Rimski Korsakov-conservatoire St Petersburg to study at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar for a full year.
