  • commissions for the Hamburgische Staatsoper ('Das Fest im Meer', 2001/02; 'Butterfly Blues', 2004), the RuhrTriennale ('Unter Eis', 2006/07) and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein ('Ronja Räubertochter', 2015)
  • numerous composition prizes and scholarships, including the Hindemith-Preis 2004
  • 2001–2009, professor (part-time) of music theory at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg
  • since 2009, professor of music theory and aural training at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
