  • Born in Dresden
  • 1972–1977, studied singing with Kammersängerin Christa Schroedter at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar; graduated with a diploma for vocal teaching
  • 1977–1980, freelance engagements as concert singer and tutor (singing lessons, vocal coaching for choirs and cabaret, casual appointment at the LISZT University Weimar)
  • Since 1980, teaching appointment in singing and speech declamation for students of music education and church music at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
  • Since 1993, professor of singing and voice at the same institution
  • Responsible for all aspects of vocal teaching at Faculty III; one-on-one teaching (singing), as well as small-group and seminar teaching (vocal training)
  • Introduction of a complementary degree in vocal coaching, geared towards working on vocal coaching with lay singers
  • Conference presentations on vocal training
  • 1998–2003, director of the Department of Music Education and Church Music
  • 2003–2008 and 2011–2013, dean of Faculty III
  • 2013–2019, Vice-president of Teaching
