Dénes Várjon - Piano

(c) Pilvax Studio

15 - 20 July 2019

This Hungarian pianist is not only a former student of Ferenc Rados, he also has an artistic reputation on par with his former professor, who will also be teaching at the 60th Weimar Masterclasses. Dénes Várjon has made a name for himself as an excellent soloist and chamber musician, as artistic director of music festivals and as a sought-after piano teacher. Among his chamber music partners are András Schiff, Kim Kashkashian, Tabea Zimmermann and Joshua Bell, and as a soloist he has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Vienna Konzerthaus and London's Wigmore Hall. He is a regular guest at major festivals from Edinburgh to Salzburg. In addition, together with pianist legend Alfred Brendel, Dénes Várjon has launched a Liszt project, which has already been performed throughout Europe.
