At the centre of his artistic life is the Trio di Parma. Alberto Miodini has performed worldwide as the pianist of this successful piano trio, which was founded in 1990. The trio has performed in the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, the Vienna Concert Hall and the Berlin Philharmonic. Concert tours have also taken these Italian musicians to Chile, Brazil, the USA, Russia, Hong Kong and many European countries. Trio di Parma have made CD recordings of the piano trios of Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms and Dmitri Shostakovich. Alberto Miodini completed his piano studies in Parma, and has also received significant input from performers such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Leon Fleisher, Emanuel Ax and the Trio di Trieste. He has appeared as a soloist with the orchestras of Mantua, Emilia Romagna and Sicily. His wide ranging repertoire ranges from Johann Sebastian Bach to Luigi Nono. Alberto Miodini teaches as a piano professor at the Conservatory of Music Arrigo Boito in Parma.
