  • Born in 1958 in Cologne
  • 1975–1980 Studies with Prof. Tadashi Sasaki at the Academy of Music in Cologne | Department Aachen
  • Participation in numerous master classes including S. Behrend, J. Tomas, O. Ghiglia and J. Williams
  • 1982 Successful participation in the ARD-Competition in Munich
  • 1983 1st Prize in the "Concurso internacional de ejecución musical" in Viña del Mar, Chile and a special prize from the district Nordrhein-Westfalen
  • 1980–1998 Teacher at the Academy of Music in Aachen
  • During this time he gave master classes both in Germany and abroad
  • 1994–1997 Guest Professor at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
  • 1997 Awarded the title of Professor of Guitar at the LISZT University
  • Concert tours in Europe, North and South America, Cuba and North Africa
  • As well as being active as a soloist Thomas Müller-Pering is a sought after chamber musician and gave, among others, concerts with his duo partners Wally Hase, flute, and Friedemann Eichhorn, violin
  • 1991 Duo-partner of Manuel Barrueco with whom he recorded a CD with the complete work "Danzas Españolas" by Enrique Granados for EMI
  • Since 2003 member of the World Guitar Ensemble, since 2007 United Guitar Ensemble and since 2004 member of the Quartetto MaGiCo
