  • Born in 1971 in Schwerin
  • Studies by Prof. Hans Werner Wätzig and Prof. Burkhard Glaetzner in Berlin and Leipzig
  • In 1994 position in the Orchestral Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, received tuition from Hansjörg Schellenberger
  • Simultaneously first oboe in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under Claudio Abbado and founder member of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra
  • First permanent positions as first oboist in the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Staatstheater Mannheim
  • In 1999 first oboist in the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin
  • Played with many important orchestras both in Germany and abroad such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bayerische Staatsoper Munich and The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
  • Worked with many well-known conductors including Christian Thielemann, Guiseppe Sinopoli, Zubin Mehta, Mariss Jansons, Daniel Barenboim and Semyon Bychkov
  • Won prizes in both national and international competitions
  • Member of the chamber group "Solisten-Ensemble-Berlin"
  • Gained teaching experience in the Orchestral Academy of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and in the University of Arts Berlin
  • Guest contract as Associate Section Leader at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
  • Member of the Camerata Salzburg
  • Since 2005 Professor of Oboe at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
