The Thuringian Opera Studio

Roles in the Theatre – Studies at the School

The Thuringian Opera Studio is an Aufbaustudium (post-graduate programme) of the The LISZT SCHOOL of Music in cooperation with the German National Theatre Weimar (DNT), the Theatre Erfurt and the Theatre Nordhausen. The students of the studio are involved in the musical theatre ensemble of the DNT, the Theatre Erfurt and the Theatre Nordhausen and have student apprentice contracts. They work through roles in productions and in the repertoire and have regular performances in the theatres on stage. At the school they have the opportunity to attend various courses (voice, song and roles, scenes, elocution, movement / dance, languages) and take part in performance projects (song, concert, musical theatre).

Duration of Studies and Contract: maximum 2 years (4 semesters)
Age Limit: 30 years at the time of application
Prerequisite: Completed studies (or comparable)
Application: voice audition
