General information
An important emphasis of the LISZT SCHOOL Music Weimar is the teaching of contemporary music to young musicians. Completely in the sense of the name the school has promoted new and newest music within the areas of composition and interpretation in its 125 year history. The setting up of a studio for electro-acoustic music underlines the wish to provide as broad and versatile a training as possible. The co-ordination of these activities led to the establishment of the department of contemporary music in 1997.
