Recording Studio - FAQs
What are the conditions in order to make a recording in the studio?
A recording in the studio is free for students at The LISZT SCHOOL of Music Weimar. For ensembles the majority of the members must consist of school students. The performance rights of a recording belong to the school.
Can the recordings be used for commercial publications?
A publication of the recording is not possible without its release by the school. In using the Studio's services the student consents to a transfer of the performing rights to the school of music. Thus the school is the owner.
Can the recordings be copied for advertising purposes?
The school allows a person to make 50 copies free of charge for advertising purposes. Higher numbers require the consent of the school and require a license.
Can I have my final examination recorded by the studio?
Concerts are not usually recorded by the recording studio. Exceptions are concerts with a special meaning for the school or concerts which have a special archive value. The vice president (artistic affairs) makes all decisions regarding a recording.
